NATIONAL EXPERIENCE EXCHANGE
SESSION ON TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION
IN THE CLIMATE RESILIENCE PROCESS

The National Experience Exchange Session on Technology and Innovation in the Climate Resilience Process was held on 26 May 2022 under the Business Climate Resilience Project which was designed based on the private sector’s need to develop awareness, preparedness and response capacities in order to ensure the comprehension of climate-induced risks and adaptation of existing production systems, and carried out by the Business for Goals (B4G) Platform with the support of the Connecting Business Initiative (CBi).

The role of technology and innovation in the process of enhancing climate resilience was addressed in two separate sessions in which national and international experiences were shared.

The session included the sharing of national experiences and best practice examples. AFAD Hydrogeological Engineer Dr. Evren Tanrıverdi, and Redis Innovation Founder and Director as well as Dünya Newspaper Columnist Selin Arslanhan informed the participants about their works focusing on human innovation, in addition to their works that can be critical for the business world. The session also focused on different dynamics and innovative responses to the climate crisis by including examples of start-ups, which were effective and dynamic complements to the business world.
