TUSIAD
TUSİAD is a voluntary business organization of leading entrepreneurs and executives of the business community of Turkey. On account of the institutions represented by its members, TUSİAD, has a significant representative capacity of the economic activity in Turkey in many spheres such as production, value added, formal employment and foreign trade. TUSİAD’s activities are aimed at creating a social order based on the competitive market economy, sustainable development, and participatory democracy. Located in Istanbul, TUSİAD has representative offices in Ankara, Washington, Brussels, Berlin, London, Paris and Beijing. In the last decade, TUSİAD has published 120 reports on various issues relevant to the business community. In the last 5 years, it has formulated 300 position papers on various issues in its focus areas. It has organized more than 2500 activities. TUSİAD has represented Turkish business community on global platforms with more than 200 interaction with B20, Businesseurope, and OECD-BIAC in the last 5 years. TUSIAD is also providing co-secretariat functions for the Global Compact Turkey Network, together with TISK.
TURKONFED
TURKONFED (Turkish Enterprise and Business Confederation) is a voluntary, non-governmental business representation organization composed of regional and sectoral member federations across Turkey. Through its 28 federations and 210 associations, over 40.000 companies are represented, making TURKONFED the largest voluntary SME organization in Turkey. By means of projects, programs, seminars, trainings and workshops organized throughout the country, TURKONFED focuses on capacity building, competitiveness and corporate governance of SMEs by addressing structural and operational constraints, and by supporting capability and capacity development. Regional development, vocational education, women in business and SME policies are TURKONFED’s main areas of focus. With the overriding goal of improvements in these fields, TURKONFED leads academic and field studies, publishes research reports, carries out projects and generates targeted solutions for its stakeholders and policy makers. TURKONFED carries out its activities in close cooperation with its member federations, as well as with member Turkish business organisations outside Turkey through the TURKONFED International Platform. TURKONFED has a representative office in Brussels and is a member of the European Association of Craft, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (UEAPME).
